The film's plot is both its greatest strength and, for some critics, its most contentious point. The story begins on the evening before Valentine's Day in a high-rise office building. Two employees, Guy (Matt Lauria) and Jennifer (Natalie Martinez), are working late. As the last people to leave, they both enter the same elevator. Shortly after, the elevator grinds to a halt, trapping them between floors.
