Sindhu Menon was born into a Malayali family in Bangalore. Her entry into the entertainment world was almost serendipitous; she made her acting debut as a child artist in the Malayalam film Pookalam Varavayi (1991). However, it was the 1994 classic Manichitrathazhu , where she played the younger version of Shobana’s character (Ganga), that put her on the map.
