Released in 2002 and directed by Charles Stone III, "Drumline" follows the journey of Devon Miles (played by Nick Cannon), a talented and charismatic street drummer from Harlem. He earns a full music scholarship to the fictional Atlanta A&T University, where he joins their prestigious marching band. Driven by his ambition to lead the drumline to victory, he clashes with his demanding and more traditional band director, Dr. Lee (Orlando Jones), as well as his section leader, Sean (Leonard Roberts).
