As the Iron Curtain lifted, Russian naturists began to practice more openly, forming the first official clubs. The "Free Body Culture Society" ( Obshchestvo Kultury Svobodnogo Tela or OKST) in St. Petersburg was officially registered on January 30, 1992, marking a new era.
